Certification in just a few, easy steps!

Who is Eligible:

To be eligible for ADHD-RSP certification, the applicant must be state or nationally licensed professionals as listed below:

  • Occupational Therapist
  • Occupational Therapy Assistant
  • Speech Language Pathologist
  • Speech Language Pathologist Assistant
  • Physical Therapist
  • Physical Therapist Assistant
  • Rehabilitation Counselor

By applying for certification, the applicant agrees to adhere to Evergreen Certifications’ Professional Code of Ethics

Training Requirements:

A minimum of 30 hours of continued education, with 24 hours specific to ADHD assessment and treatment topics; 3 hours specific to psychopharmacology and 3 hours specific to managing ADHD in a rehabilitation setting.

Please note that Evergreen Certifications does not offer continuing education, all training must be purchased directly through the accredited training organization. Training is not included in the certification fee.

Complete Clinical Hours:

The candidate must attest that, over the course of their career, they have conducted a minimum of 200 contact hours with ADHD-diagnosed patients.

Application Process:

For your initial 2-year certification, please complete the following steps.

  1. Complete a qualifying training
  2. Remit your initial application payment of 299.99 USD online
  3. Upload the following documents to your account:

Evergreen Certifications will certify applicants who meet the above requirements.

Please note: Certification does not imply endorsement of competency. As a licensed professional, you are responsible for reviewing the scope of practice, including activities that are defined in law as
beyond the boundaries of practice in accordance with and in compliance with your profession’s standards.

Renewal Process:

To maintain ADHD-RSP certification, a renewal is required after your initial 2-year certification. A 2-year renewal requires 20 clock hours of ADHD focused continued education since you were last certified.

Renewal CE content cannot be the same content used for prior renewal or initial certification

Renewal Process

  1. Complete a qualifying training
  2. Upload the following documents to your account:
    • A copy of the candidate’s professional license
    • Evidence of completion of qualifying training, in the form of a CE or completion certificate
  3. Remit your ADHD-RSP renewal fee of 149.99 USD online

Renewal training hours need to have been taken in the time since you were certified or last recertified.

Renewals are calculated from the date that your certification was issued. If you allow your certification to lapse for more than 2 years, you are no longer eligible to renew your certification and instead can reapply for certification.

Mary B. Asper - MS, CCC-SLP

Mary B. Asper, MS, CCC-SLP, has over 40 years experience working with children, adults, families and educators from all walks of life in many different capacities. For the last 10 years, Mary’s focus has been on developing and implementing effective techniques and strategies to help students with language learning disabilities succeed in school. She is involved in all areas of treatment for dyslexia, including diagnosis, program development and implementation, therapeutic intervention and professional development for SLPs and educators. Mary has developed strategies to address linguistic, cognitive and social concerns based on best-practice recommendations and current neuro-scientific findings, through her work with students from the early grades through high school. Mary is the president and speech-language pathologist for her company, Codding Hollow Associates, Inc. and coordinates a team of related professionals who serve students with severe language learning disabilities and communication disorders. She holds certification from the American Speech-Language Association, is a former board member for the Vermont Speech-Language Association and an instructor in Special Topics: Language Disorder for Lyndon State College in Vermont.

Kathryne Cammisa - MHE, OTR/L

Kathryne Cammisa, MHE, OTR/L, is an SI/NDT certified occupational therapist, American Council on Exercise certified personal trainer, Pranakriya certified yoga therapist, Radiant Child/Family 200 hour certified yoga teacher and Mindful Schools certified mindfulness teacher. Kathee has over 25 years of experience working with children with special needs in home, school, child care and clinic settings. She works with children and their families through her private practice and at Children’s Place, a therapeutic child care center. Kathee has extensive teaching experience throughout the country, with Georgia State’s Project SCEIS, and the Medical College of Georgia where she served as assistant professor of occupational therapy. She has been published by the American Journal of Occupational Therapy and Occupational Therapy in Mental Health and has taken yoga and occupational therapy to children in China, Vietnam, Costa Rica and Ghana.
